
Apples with Pine Nuts and Cider
Serves 4-6Soft cooked apples with pine nuts and a cider glaze are delicious following a nice roast pork.
Ingredients
- 4 apples , such as Honey Crisp or Fuji
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider
Instructions
- Place the sugar into a small bowl. Add the cider and whisk until smooth. Set aside.
- Peel, core and cut the apples into quarters. Heat the butter and cook the apples over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Add the pine nuts and stir in the cider mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes longer, stirring often.
- Place on individual plates and serve right away.
