Comice Pears with Pine Nuts, Thyme and Lemon
Serves 4-6
A lemon mixture combined with fresh thyme and toasted pine nuts makes a delicious balance to a simple fall pear. Choose the ripest Comice pears you can find.

Ingredients

Comice pears
peeled, and halved
1/4
cup
pine nuts
toasted

tablespoons
fresh lemon juice

tablespoons
sugar

teaspoon
crushed red pepper flakes
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

tablespoon
fresh thyme leaves
chopped
Instructions
In a small bowl, add the lemon juice, sugar, and red pepper flakes, and season with salt and black pepper. Whisk until combined.
Put the pear halves on a platter or individual plates and drizzle with the lemon mixture and sprinkle the thyme and the pine nuts over the top. Serve.
