Comice Pears with Pine Nuts, Thyme and Lemon

Serves 4-6
A lemon mixture combined with fresh thyme and toasted pine nuts makes a delicious balance to a simple fall pear. Choose the ripest Comice pears you can find.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Comice pears peeled, and halved
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts toasted
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, add the lemon juice, sugar, and red pepper flakes, and season with salt and black pepper. Whisk until combined.
  • Put the pear halves on a platter or individual plates and drizzle with the lemon mixture and sprinkle the thyme and the pine nuts over the top. Serve.
